Author
Wojciech Wasiutyński 1910-1994

Born on 8 September 1910 in Warsaw, he graduated in law from the University of Warsaw. He was one of the leading student activists of the Youth Movement of the Great Polish Camp; on behalf of the organisation, he was the editor-in-chief of Akademik Polski. In 1934, he was one of the authors of the programme declaration of the National Radical Camp (ONR), and after the split in the organisation he became a leader of the Falanga National Radical Camp. He was an editor of the Falanga weekly and of the Jutro daily, which was associated with the Falanga National Radical Camp. At the end of 1938, he broke his ties with the Falanga National Radical Camp and started publishing the Wielka Polska” monthly together with Stanisław Cimoszynski. After the outbreak of World War II, he left for France, where he worked with the local underground press, and then served in the Polish Army, including as the commander of the press section of the First Armoured Division. After the war he settled in Great Britain, and in the early 1960s, he left for the USA, where he worked for the New York section of the Radio Free Europe as the deputy of its head. In parallel, he wrote for emigre and English and American press; he was an editor of Myśl Polska in London and Nowy Dziennik in New York. He also continued to be active in the national movement, acting as a member of the Council of National Unity on behalf of the National Party. After moving to the USA, he became president of the American Roman Dmowski Institute. In the 1980s, he often wrote for the national underground press, being associated, in particular, with the circles close to Polityka Polska. He died on 19 August 1994 in New York. His main writings include: Naród rządzący (The Ruling Nation) 1935; Z duchem czasu (Moving with the Times), 1936; Między Trzecią Rzeszą a Trzecią Rusią (Between the Third Reich and the Third Ruthenia), 1939; Tysiąc lat polityki polskiej (A Thousand Years of the Polish Politics) 1946; Ruiny i fundamenty (Ruins and Foundations), 1947; Listy o ludziach (Letters about People), 1955; Nowy świat (A New World) 1967; Źródła niepodległości (Sources of Independence), 1977.
